The Marble & Granite Fitters Cairns is a local and family-operated business who have been in the stonemasonry game for over 18 years. We have a strong reputation for our craftsmanship working with a number of builders, cabinet makers, designers and architects in town.
We're looking for a hardworking, reliable person to join our stonemasonry team as a labourer for both onsite and in the factory. If you're seeking hands on work, like learning new things, this could be a great fit.
What You'll Be Doing
* Helping our stonemasons with daily jobs – in the factory and onsite
* Cutting, grinding, and moving stone (we'll show you how)
* Using basic tools and operating workshop machinery
* Keeping the shed tidy and safe
* Loading/unloading materials and assisting with deliveries
* Lifting stone bench tops
What We're Looking For
* Someone reliable with a good attitude
* Able to handle physical work
* Keen to learn—experience is great, but not required
* Works well in a team
* Forklift or machinery experience is a bonus
