We are partnering with an incredible manufacturing business in the Hunter Region looking for a Plant Manager to lead their manufacturing operation — a modern manufacturing leader who understands how to bring people together, drive change with purpose, and create an environment where people feel empowered to succeed. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while shaping the future of a respected industrial business.
In this role, you will hold full P&L accountability, ensuring the site meets its financial, operational, and efficiency targets. You will have the responsibility and autonomy to deliver strong commercial outcomes while maintaining a relentless focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
A critical part of this role is leading people with purpose. You will mentor and support Team Leaders, Leading Hands, and frontline staff, fostering an inclusive and values-driven culture. Your leadership will set the tone — building trust, driving accountability, and ensuring every member of the team feels part of the journey.
You will also be responsible for driving operational excellence. From production performance and process improvements through to compliance and accreditation standards, you will ensure the plant operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably. This includes implementing modern manufacturing practices and embedding continuous improvement initiatives over time across the site.
The role goes beyond the factory floor. As Plant Manager, you will play a vital role in strengthening customer and supplier relationships, aligning site capabilities with broader growth objectives, and ensuring service delivery is consistent and reliable. You will act as a key point of connection between the site, customers, and senior stakeholders.
At the same time, you will be a champion for safety and compliance, ensuring the wellbeing of all employees and supported team members. Upholding WHS standards and fostering a culture of care and responsibility will be central to your success.
We are looking for a proven leader with experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. Experience in building products, mining or renewables would align well, but we are open to discussing this opportunity with candidates outside of the industry. 80% of this selection is about the right culture leader. A strong track record of delivering results with P&L accountability, and the ability to inspire and unite teams. You will bring commercial acumen, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for continuous improvement and modern manufacturing practices.
This is more than just an operational role — it is a chance to lead transformation and to shape a workplace where performance and people truly go hand in hand.
