We are looking to appoint a Production Supervisor to lead a team of Operator Maintainer Technicians at Yarnima Power Station.

As Production Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the power station, ensuring optimal plant performance, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and efficient production. You will lead a team of technicians and operators, working closely with the maintenance and engineering teams. Yarnima Power station consists of 3 x Siemens SGT-800 Gas Turbines, 3 x Heat recovery steam generators, and 2 Siemens SST-400 condensing steam turbines with a combined generation capacity of up to 190MW. Yarnima Power Station supplies power to the township of Newman and all BHP mines within the East Pilbara. The role is a FIFO position working day shift only on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster based out of Perth or Busselton.

What you'll do
* Supervise the safe and efficient operation of plant production
* Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot operational issues
* Assist with managing shift schedules, coordinate workflow, and oversee daily reporting
* Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
* Demonstrable knowledge and practical site HSE legislation and duty of care – S26 accreditation an advantage.
* Provide leadership and training to operational staff
* Assist in planning outages and maintenance activities
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase plant efficiency and reliability
* Demonstrate leadership and commitment in striving for zero harm to people and environment
About You:
* Previous experience within power generation – Gas Turbines, HRSG's and Steam Turbines
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Knowledge of power plants, functions and operations
* Demonstrable knowledge and practical site HSE legislation and duty of care
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
* Relevant technical qualification – Electrical or Mechanical
* Advanced Boiler and Steam Turbine Operation High Risk licenses an advantage.
* Understanding of industrial relations to ensure adherence to policies and procedures
* C class driver's license
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
