Are you a seasoned HR Generalist looking to take full ownership of the people function within a high-growth, sustainable industry? We are representing a leading Australian-owned infrastructure organisation seeking a versalite HR specialist to join their People and Culture team.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting with workforce planning and role scoping to align HR strategy with organisational goals.
* Managing end-to-end recruitment drives across various departments to ensure fair and consistent selection processes.
* Leading and improving the onboarding and integration process for all new employees.
* Implementing best practices for employee retention, succession planning, and conducting exit interviews.
* Working with team leads to build out KPIs, performance reviews, and individual improvement plans.
* Collaborating with leadership to identify learning and development (L&D) opportunities and coordinate training activities.
* Supporting team leaders in addressing performance concerns and developing effective coaching strategies.
* Driving employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and retention strategies, to ensure a productive work environment.
* Managing employee relations (ER) matters, including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
* Developing, reviewing, and maintaining HR policies to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, the Fair Work Act, and workplace health and safety (WHS) policies.
* Overseeing the HRIS to ensure data integrity and generating reports for workforce planning and decision-making.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, awards, and standards related to the HR function.

About you

We are looking for a confident HR professional who thrives in autonomous environments and can communicate effectively with everyone from site workers to senior executives.

To be successful, you will need

* A minimum of 5 years in a Human Resources role.
* Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field.
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.
* A strong grasp of the Fair Work Act, WHS requirements, and modern HR best practices.
