The Goulburn Pub Group, proud owners of The Empire Hotel, The Gordon Hotel and The Southern Railway Hotel, is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Hotel Manager / Licensee to join our growing family-run hospitality group.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a senior operational leadership role across three established regional pubs, each with strong local trade and diverse hospitality offerings including gaming, accommodation, bottle shop, functions and traditional pub dining.
With continued investment and growth across the group, we are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who can drive operations, lead teams and maintain high standards of service, compliance and performance.
You will work closely with supportive and engaged ownership who are actively involved in the ongoing development and success of the venues, while having the autonomy to lead teams, manage operations and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
This role offers the opportunity to have genuine input into the operation and future direction of the venues, working directly with ownership in a collaborative environment.

Our venues operate a vibrant mix of hospitality services including:
* Hotel accommodation

* Food and beverage operations
The Role
Reporting directly to ownership, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management and continued development of our venues.
This is a hands-on operational leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being actively involved on the floor while also overseeing broader business performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing daily hotel operations across multiple departments
* Leading, mentoring and rostering hospitality teams
* Ensuring compliance with RSA, RCG, ARCG and gaming regulations
* Overseeing bar, gaming, floor and customer service operations
* Supporting functions, events and accommodation operations
* Maintaining strong relationships with customers and the local community
* Working with ownership to drive operational improvements and business growth
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional who understands the unique environment of Australian pubs and hotels.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven hotel or pub management experience
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Experience overseeing gaming and TAB operations (highly regarded)
* A positive, motivated and solutions-focused attitude
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* The ability to work flexible hospitality hours
Experienced pub or hotel managers are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Certifications
* Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
* Current RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling)
* ARCG (Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gambling)
* Approved Manager / Licensee experience highly regarded
