As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated Trade Assistant- Truck/ Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your driving skills with hands-on support in our factory.
The Role
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position based in Northern Tasmania (with occasional relief work in the South). You will be the vital link between our workshop and our clients, ensuring our high-quality joinery arrives safely and providing crucial support to our tradespeople on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Driving & Logistics: Safely loading, securing, and transporting joinery, appliances, and benchtops.
* On-Site Support: Providing comprehensive assistance to skilled tradespeople during installation tasks.
* Site Management: Preparing work areas, maintaining tools, and ensuring a clean, safe worksite in compliance with WHS regulations.
* Manual Handling: Safely unloading items by hand on-site (heavy lifting required).
* Communication: Maintaining clear contact with schedulers and team members to ensure timely project delivery.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Licensing: Current MR (Medium Rigid) Truck License and a Forklift Ticket(not required by advantageous).
* Safety: A valid White Card and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling daily.
* Experience: Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or Labourer (construction/cabinetry experience is a major bonus).
* Attitude: A proactive, \"can-do\" work ethic, punctuality, and a professional presentation.
* Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.
