We're growing — and we're on the lookout for Boilermakers to join our Shutdown Team for upcoming work across the Mackay region and surrounding sites.

Steelarc Engineering is a locally owned and operated Mackay business providing high-quality fabrication, maintenance, and project services across the mining, ports, sugar, and manufacturing industries.

The Role
We have multiple shutdowns scheduled for 2026 – this is your chance to be part of a skilled team working across diverse sites and projects.
You'll be involved in:
* Fixed and mobile plant maintenance and repairs
* Wash plant maintenance and shutdowns
* Fabrication, machining, and equipment rebuilds
* Hydraulic tuning, repairs, machine relocations
* Supporting trades and assisting site teams as required
* Applying your trade skills and maintaining high safety standards
Trade certificates and a High-Risk Work Licence are highly regarded, along with proven experience in shutdowns or site-based maintenance environments.
What You Bring
* Relevant trade qualification
* High Risk Work Licence (highly regarded)
* Strong mechanical aptitude and focus on safety
* Team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in
* Current driver's licence
* Coal Board Medical & Standard 11
* Confined Space, Gas Test, and Working at Heights tickets
