PM Shift Times:Mon - Thur 9:15AM - 6:15PM & Fri 9:30AM - 2:45PM
Vectura Recruitment is partnering with a well-established production and manufacturing operation in Queensland to recruit an experienced Forklift Operator for a permanent, full-time AM or PM shift role. This position is suited to a highly competent forklift operator who is confident working autonomously, prioritises safety, and consistently delivers accurate and efficient materials handling in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate forklifts in accordance with workplace safety procedures and site rules
* Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently
* Move, stack, stage, and position materials in designated locations
* Ensure correct handling and storage of products to prevent damage
* Conduct pre-start checks and report equipment faults or maintenance issues
* Maintain clear and organised forklift operating zones and traffic areas
* Accurately complete paperwork, records, and documentation as required
* Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and operational instructions
* Communicate effectively with production, dispatch, and warehouse teams
* Report safety hazards, near misses, and incidents in line with procedures
Skills & Experience
* Valid forklift licence with strong hands-on operating experience
* Proven experience operating forklifts in a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
* Confident operating forklifts independently with minimal supervision
* High attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
* Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance record
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a wider team
* Sound communication, numeracy, and literacy skills
* Strong work ethic with a high level of care for equipment, product, and site safety
Compliance & Assessments
* Physical capability assessment required
* Drug and alcohol test required
* Must be physically fit and capable of performing operational duties
