POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Technician. This role promises a diverse range of projects that will broaden your Civil Engineering expertise and accelerate your professional growth. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Involve in the initial stage of project surveys and investigations, assist in the planning and design of civil engineering works.
* Prepare construction drawings, design sketches, charts, tabulations, and plans for civil engineering projects and verify their accuracy.
* Estimate material costs and perform tests on materials, ensure finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.
* Oversee the advancement of civil construction projects, and guarantee adherence to project requirements and specifications.
* Inspect civil engineering works, and organise and supervise maintenance and repair work
* Pinpoint and address engineering technical issues and challenges, and offer inventive approaches to bolster project productivity and success.
* Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities.
SELECTION CRITERIA
* Tertiary qualification
* At least 5 years of highly relevant experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is a MUST
* Attention to detail and passion for safety, environment and quality of work
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* High level of written and oral communication skills
