We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, working in Central Coast NSW. This is a permanent part-time or full-time position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to Australian's in the comfort of their home. This will involve assessing clients' needs, prescribing equipment, and implementing home modifications to enable independence.
In addition, the Occupational Therapist will support clients with:
* Home Care Package clients: ensuring they remain independent at home through assessments, equipment prescriptions, and home modifications.
* Rehab in the home program: focusing on post-orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation.
* Hospital in the Home program: supporting clients after hospitalisation, including general surgeries.
For Residential Aged Care clients, the Occupational Therapist will:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, including initial assessments, reviews, post-hospitalisation assessments, and falls risk assessments.
* Develop, implement, and manage individualised programs, including designing and facilitating group programs and completing individual sessions with residents.
* Facilitate manual handling techniques and prescribe equipment as needed.
This role requires a fully qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of Australians. Ideally, you will have a minimum 2 years' experience in a Community or Aged Care setting and be willing to grow your skills across both. As a mobile Occupational Therapist, you will need to be comfortable travelling to clients located across the central coast region and provide your own vehicle (kilometre reimbursement provided).
