Are you an experienced HR professional looking to enhance the company's human resource practices, and provide support and guidance to employees and management?
**About the Opportunity**
Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for delivering effective and compliant generalist human resources advisory and administration services for the full end-to-end employee experience.
You will need a natural ability to take ownership, propose solutions, and demonstrate a genuine care in building strong working relationships across the Chevron Glass Group.
In addition to the above, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and injury management
- Ensure compliance and updating of the HR and WHS policies, programs, procedures and practices
- Provide assistance to staff and management in the interpretation of workplace agreements, awards and employment conditions.
- Preparing employment contracts and assisting with preparation of position descriptions
- Ensure timely payroll processing of wages and salaries, including annual payment summaries
- Ensure compliance to superannuation, taxation and workers compensation financial obligations through processing of monthly and annual payroll reconciliations.
- Maintain an efficient system to record the reporting and investigation of workplace incidents, and manage workers compensation claims
- Provide injury management support to group Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators for managed workers, identifying suitable duties and preparing return to work plans
- Maintaining employee work performance by training, counselling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising results
- Review and document human resource practices and incorporate continuous improvement into systems
**About You**
Leading all HR activities across the organisation, you will have previous experience in a similar position in human resources, industrial relations and/or injury management. You will be comfortable using your knowledge of HR functions and best practice to advise managers at all levels of the business.
In addition to the above, to be successful in this role, you will have/be:
- Proven understanding of and the ability to interpret industrial agreements, legislation, and policies, communicating essential elements both clearly and concisely
- Understanding of payroll and all monthly and annual payroll reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong people skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships throughout the organisation and with external stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
- Excellent written and verbal communication,
- Meticulous attention to detail
Desirable but not essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline is desirable
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator training
- Experience with Sybiz Visipay and Aussie Timesheets
