Bus Driver - Grounds and Maintenance The ability to operate a College bus safely and responsibly while working collaboratively within a school environment. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills, with a clear commitment to student safety and wellbeing. Bus Duties Deliver a prompt and reliable transport service for College students and staff. Carry out vehicle pre-departure checks and report any mechanical defects. Drive effectively and efficiently while ensuring passengers’ safety and comfort. Identify, address and report unsafe or unhealthy conditions, practices or behaviour in the workplace. Maintain up to date knowledge of road laws and company policies. Always maintain the bus fleet in a clean and hygienic condition. Accurately complete recording procedures such as daily journals, time records, customer loading data and fuel and charter records. Facilitate the bus fleet servicing requirements and compliance inspections. Ensure all College vehicles are utilised solely to carry out duties as directed by the College and only stored on College premises. 2. Maintenance Duties Maintain College facilities, ovals and grounds. Assist with the daily opening and closing of the school. Pick up and deliver internal campus mail. Facilitate and assist in setting up areas for college events and functions. Maintain equipment as needed. Maintain the College workshop in a clean and tidy state. Assist other members of the Maintenance Team as required. Remove litter and graffiti from school grounds. Although routine cleaning, window cleaning, and aspects of groundskeeping are generally outsourced by the College, assistance in these areas may be required in special circumstances. Other duties as directed by the Campus Facilities Manager and the Principal. Salary: Bus Driver-Grounds and Maintenance: Salary and conditions are in accordance with the School Services Officer – Category B scale under the applicable Catholic Education Agreement Applications must be submitted by 4pm on Friday 17 April.
