Your new role
As a Youth Residential Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will assist young people aged 16-25 in a residential setting to build skills preventing homelessness, access & provide mental health and wellbeing support, increase community connectedness and access supporting around alcohol and other drug use.
In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a secure and welcoming environment for young individuals actively seeking support.
In this role, you may be required to work every second Saturday and being included on an on call after hours roster regularly. This role may also involve rotating rostered shifts over the full 24-hour period.

Your skills and experience
o A relevant qualification in a health welfare related discipline.
o Certificate IV in Mental Health / AOD or Alcohol and Other Drug core competencies (or willingness to complete the core competencies within the first 12 months of employment) will be highly regarded.
o A current drivers licence valid in Victoria
o Demonstrated ability to engage clients and potential clients in program activities.
o Ability to contribute to and support the provision of educational groups and activities for clients undergoing withdrawal.
o Ability and preparedness to assist clients with daily living tasks
