**Make a Difference in Newborn Care: Administrative Assistant - Neonates Opportunity**
Contribute to the exceptional care of newborns and their families as an Administrative Assistant - Neonates at SA Health's Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. In this part-time, short-term contract position, you'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the Neonatal Unit. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating appointments.
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role is responsible for providing a confidential administrative service to the Unit Head, Department of Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and other senior medical staff as required. Duties for the role will include:
- Provide a confidential executive secretarial support service to the Department of Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and its medical staff,
- Schedule and co-ordinate appointments/meetings for senior medical staff and with other departments and outside organisations using Outlook, as well as providing support with the preparation and minuting of meetings
- Maintain and record leave requests, leave balances, PR&D; records and liaise with appropriate other departments in the everyday personnel issues/HR of medical staff,
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers
**About you**:
- Year 11 or equivalent educational/vocational qualifications,
- Proven experience in providing general comprehensive and confidential clerical, typing and reception tasks to senior officers,
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with members of the public, patient, visitors and hospital staff,
- Experience in developing, maintaining and controlling appropriate records and filing systems
