Our client is seeking a Service Engineer to join their Service Division, reporting directly to the Service Manager.
Role Overview
The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Electron Optics and Analytical Instruments, while also supporting sales promotion and delivering high-quality technical support to customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform installations, maintenance, repairs, and user training as assigned, in a timely and professional manner
* Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or onsite visits
* Support fellow engineers with phone-based technical assistance when required
* Deliver customer training on instrument operation and usage
* Maintain accurate service documentation, including reports, test results, and related records
* Update internal systems (e.g., Solve 360 database) as required
* Report service issues encountered in the field to the Service Manager
* Submit service reports upon completion of work and/or on a weekly basis
* Assist in the promotion of JEOL TEM products
* Travel domestically and internationally for customer visits as needed
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2000 procedures and requirements
* Undertake additional tasks as directed by the line manager
This role requires strong technical expertise, customer-facing communication skills, and flexibility to travel.
