We are seeking a skilled Sustainable Energy Systems Engineer to join our team.
The primary objective of this role is to lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge sustainable energy solutions. This includes but is not limited to:
* Designing and deploying grid-forming inverters that optimize renewable energy integration into the power grid
* Collaborating with vendors and customers to determine system requirements and ensure seamless solution delivery
* Evaluating and validating control systems for battery storage and utility-scale solar applications
To be successful in this position, you will need to have:
* A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems and Power Electronics
* Deep technical knowledge of grid-forming inverters acquired through research or field experience
* Familiarity with relevant industry standards such as UL 1741 SA, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, and ISO requirements
* Experience working with PSCAD, PSS/E, and other power system modeling software
* Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming, preferably Simatic S7 PLC series
* Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
