Job Overview
The Extended Hours Program is a pivotal initiative in Central Australia, providing vital after-hours activities and services for young people. Our objective is to foster the wellbeing and engagement of youth through a diverse range of activities, including after-hours programs, school holiday events, cultural camps, and family-based events.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Extended Hours Program, ensuring young people have a voice in the design and delivery of the program.
2. Serve as a dynamic leader for program participants and junior staff members, promoting a culture of empowerment and inclusivity.
3. Maintain regular communication with local First Nation communities and Elders to discuss local aspirations of youth and the community.
4. Collaborate with local First Nations people to ensure that the program promotes local culture and traditions.
5. Support a comprehensive extended hours program and school holiday program, which may include family nights and overnight camps.
6. Pursue partnerships and stakeholder engagement to enhance program effectiveness.
7. Ensure adherence to policy, procedures, quality, and risk management guidelines.
8. Oversee resource management, monitoring resource use and condition, and reporting on any concerns.
9. Analyze data and produce reports to inform program improvements.
