We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will assist with a broad range of procedures, including complex and cosmetic treatments. You will play a vital role in supporting efficient clinical workflows while delivering outstanding patient care. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week, based in Glengowrie, SA.
Responsibilities
* Provide chairside assistance during general dental procedures, including surgical and restorative treatments
* Prepare and maintain treatment rooms in accordance with Australian infection control standards
* Perform instrument reprocessing and sterilisation in compliance with current guidelines
* Ensure patient comfort and support throughout procedures
* Manage instruments, materials, and stock control
* Assist with digital scanning, 3‐D printing, and dental software systems
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe clinical environment
* Contribute positively to team workflow and patient experience
Qualifications
* Minimum of a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting qualification or higher qualification
* At least 1 year of relevant industry experience
* Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Professional presentation and strong work ethic
* Availability to work weekends and after-hours shifts
* Experience assisting with dental implants and surgical procedures (desirable)
* Experience with digital scanning, 3‐D printing, and dental practice management software (desirable)
* Experience in cosmetic dentistry (desirable)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting (desirable)
