About the Role
Council's Arts Visual and Performing Team, located at the Townsville Civic Theatre, offer a range of entertainment and special events and provide an environment to further develop performing arts in Townsville and the North. This position works under the general direction of the Senior Box Office Staff. The main duties are to provide a high level of customer service to customers making enquiries about up-coming shows and events and/or booking tickets to shows and events.
About You
Our ideal applicant will have:
* Demonstrated customer service skills, the ability to speak confidently and deal with difficult patrons.
* Flexible availability - Available to work across seven days/nights.
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Proven ability to work in a small team environment.
* Problem solving abilities and skills commensurate with this classification level.
* A professional and positive attitude.
* Basic knowledge of the performing arts industry.
* Previous cash handling experience and operation of eftpos machines.
