About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Macquarie Park. Reporting to the Finance Manager / Financial Controller, this role will play a key part in supporting accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting across the business. This position offers exposure to core financial operations including month-end close, general ledger management and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be comfortable working autonomously while partnering closely with internal stakeholders across the organisation. What You’ll Be Doing Lead month-end and year-end close activities including journals and reconciliations Maintain the general ledger and complete balance sheet reconciliations Prepare and analyse financial statements and management reports Support statutory reporting, audit processes and compliance obligations Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Contribute to finance process improvements and systems enhancements Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver accurate financial insights Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline CPA or CA qualified (or near completion) 2–5 years’ experience in financial accounting or reporting roles Strong understanding of accounting standards (AASB / IFRS) Experience managing month-end processes and reconciliations Advanced Excel skills and exposure to ERP/accounting systems Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills Benefit Paying up to $130,000 super Hybrid working arrangements 2 days per home Supportive and collaborative team environment Career development and progression opportunities Additional organisational benefits where applicable About the Company Our client is a well-respected, industry-leading organisation based in Macquarie Park, with a strong focus on delivering quality financial outcomes and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
