ABOUT THE ROLE
The Coordinator – Office of the Chief Executive Officer provides high-level strategic and executive support to the CEO to enhance organisational leadership and performance. The role is responsible for managing priorities, coordinating executive workflows, preparing high-quality briefings and correspondence, and ensuring the effective use of the CEO's time.
As a key liaison between the CEO, Councillors, Executive Leadership Team, and external stakeholders including government representatives, regional bodies and community organisations. It also supports the Executive Manager Culture and Capability as required and plays a central role in coordinating meetings, strategic workshops, and high-profile civic and ministerial events.
This position requires sound judgement, strong organisational capability, discretion and the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining professionalism and alignment with Council's values of Accountability, Customer Focus and Excellence.
ABOUT YOU
* Extensive experience in a senior executive support role, preferably within a complex or political environment
* Strong understanding of the role of a Chief Executive Officer in leading a large organisation
* Demonstrated experience working with Executive Leaders, Councillors or Boards
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of high-quality reports, briefings and correspondence
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities, balance deadlines and exercise sound judgement
* Highly organised with strong time management and workflow coordination skills
* Ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
* Collaborative, professional and discreet, with a strong customer service focus
