If you like to apply for this financial aid, then you should keep in mind that the Journalism Education Association sponsors the awards up to two $1,000 scholarships for education majors who would like to teach scholastic journalism.

The teachers' responsibilities consist of educating students on the topics of news writing, graphic design, photography and broadcast journalism. The teachers also help the students learn how to create topics and conduct interviews.

Eligibility Criteria for Future Journalism Teacher Scholarships

If you like to be considered for this opportunity, you need to show your eligibility by meeting the criteria and have to complete the application and include the following:

* Answering the 3 questions mentioned at the bottom of the application form.
* Writing a 250‐word essay explaining the candidate's desire to teach high school journalism.
* Providing two recommendation letters which should preferably be from those who are quite aware of the candidate and have firsthand knowledge of the candidate's work with student journalists.
* Providing college transcript(s) showing the candidate's academic standing.

Financial Benefits for Scholarships for Teachers (of Journalism)

The successful applicants will be awarded with benefits through Journalism Association Scholarships. JEA sponsors up to $1,000 scholarships for education majors who would like to teach scholastic journalism.

Each recipient of the award has to be a college junior, senior, or master's degree student in a program created to prepare the candidate for teaching at the secondary school level. Those candidates who are current secondary school teachers of journalism and are in a degree program to enhance their teaching skills are also eligible for this opportunity.

The last date for applications submission is July 15th 2023 for the next intake.
