As a Line Chef at MECC & Events, you'll be at the heart of the action – preparing high-quality dishes that delight our guests and keep the kitchen humming. You'll work alongside passionate professionals, follow recipes and presentation standards set by our Executive Sous Chef, and help create memorable dining experiences for every event.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing delicious food in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner
Mastering your station-pantry, fry, or wherever your skills shine
Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specs
Keeping your workspace spotless and organised
Creating dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Working as a key team player in a dynamic, high-energy environment
Qualifications
Secondary school education to Senior Level.
Professional diploma or food services management preferred.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
At least 1 year of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
A team player with a can-do attitude and strong sense of responsibility
Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and food service methods
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks
Special Requirements
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and events.

Base annual salary of $64,511
