About This Opportunity
This role involves overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
* Lead a team of engineers to deliver the project according to quality, safety, environmental, and budget specifications
* Monitor project progress and construction performance against plans and contracts
* Review and manage contractor communications, claims, variations, and extensions of time
* Ensure adherence to contract specifications, approvals, and legislative requirements
* Assist with risk and issues management and participate in project audits and quality reviews
* Maintain effective document control and reporting systems
* Provide technical advice on construction methods, traffic control, work programs, and compliance
* Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and problem resolution
Requirements
* Degree qualification in engineering or related field
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer in large civil infrastructure projects, preferably in transport or road construction
* Experience with government procurement processes, ideally involving TfNSW
* Competence in project planning and scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively under pressure and meet deadlines
* Current Australian driver's license
