About the Role
Carcom Installations is looking for an experienced Automotive Accessory Fitter with strong electrical skills to join our growing team in Darwin.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in neat, reliable installs and can work confidently on a wide range of vehicles, including 4WDs, commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles and customer-owned cars.
You will be fitting and wiring aftermarket accessories, diagnosing basic electrical issues, and delivering high-quality work that looks professional and lasts.
You will also be communicating with customers to determine the best solution for their needs, and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be responsible for installing and wiring automotive accessories such as:
· Audio Systems and Upgrades
· Driving lights, light bars and work lights
· UHF radios and antennas
· Dual battery systems and DC-DC chargers
· Solar setups and Anderson plugs
· Electric brake controllers
· Satellite Comms systems
· Reverse cameras and sensors
· Fridges, inverters and 12V systems
· Marine Installations
· IVMS (Tracking) Systems
· Fleet and commercial vehicle accessories
· General automotive electrical repairs and fault finding
What We're Looking For
The ideal applicant will have:
· Previous experience fitting automotive accessories
· Strong 12V electrical knowledge
· Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow installation instructions
· Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
· A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
· Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
· Own basic hand tools preferred
· Current Australian driver's licence
· A reliable, positive and practical attitude
An automotive electrical trade qualification is highly regarded, but experienced accessory fitters with strong electrical skills are encouraged to apply.
