Overview
Senior Lecturer (Practice) – Monash University. Job No.: 684156. Location: Caulfield campus. Employment Type: Full-time. Duration: 2 years fixed-term appointment. Remuneration: $145,740 – $168,049 per annum, Level C (plus 17% employer superannuation).
Responsibilities
* Shape and expand the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) program, including preparation and delivery of CDL-affiliated units.
* Develop units to ensure continued relevancy and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
* Contribute to teaching workshops, mentor staff, and lead program-wide teaching initiatives.
* Produce high-quality research and thought leadership in areas relevant to CDL and Monash Business School (e.g., AI, quantum, climate innovation, entrepreneurship).
* Upskill in frontier technology areas and liaise with CDL-Global to meet program delivery and reporting milestones.
* Produce a strategic roadmap for CDL encompassing student, industry, and government engagement.
* Oversee program administration to a high standard.
* Establish two or more sustained partnerships annually with government, industry, or NGOs.
* Provide evidence of CDL-Melbourne ventures engaging with industry or government partners through pilots, collaborations, and other initiatives.
Qualifications
* Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., climate, quantum, AI, energy technologies, entrepreneurship) or equivalent standing.
* Strong record of high-quality research and excellence in teaching and curriculum design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Proven success in securing research funding.
* Leadership in academic program delivery and experience building partnerships with government, industry, and global organisations.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
