Advanced Research Position in Electrochemistry
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team of experts in electrochemistry. The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge research in rechargeable batteries, particularly solid-state sodium batteries with enhanced safety and lower costs.
The project focuses on developing novel electrolytes with high ionic conductivity, designing intimate interfaces between the electrolyte and electrodes, and creating safer battery systems. This initiative aims to address the pressing issue of battery safety by eliminating the risk of combustion or explosion associated with organic electrolytes.
About the Role

* Key Responsibilities:
* Design and execute experiments to develop novel solid-state electrolytes and optimize their performance
* Collaborate with industry partners to translate research findings into practical applications
* Contribute to the development of publications and presentations related to the research project
* Participate in training and mentorship programs to enhance research skills and knowledge
Requirements
* Qualifications:
* PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field
* Extensive knowledge of electrochemical energy storage and conversion, particularly rechargeable battery technology
* Strong research and publication track record
* Ability to secure competitive research grants
What We Offer
* Competitive Salary Package:
* Base salary range: $92,761 to $112,977 per annum (Level A)
* 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary
