Laboratory Technician (Chemical Testing) - 3-month Fixed Term Contract
We have a fulltime, 3-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity available at Evaris Pharma for the position of Laboratory Technician. The role is associated with a software change being implemented for the laboratory chromatography systems. We are looking to hire a qualified laboratory technician with chemical testing experience. The role will provide testing support, solely focusing on testing of raw materials (including testing of purified water). Raw material testing employs various wet chemistry methods.
This position is laboratory based at the company's Balcatta facility. The site manufactures a range of pharmaceutical products across categories including antiseptics, pain relief, hand hygiene, women's health and oral care. The laboratory operates in accordance with current Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
To succeed in this position, you should have a keen eye for detail with a "get it right first time" approach and enjoy working in a dynamic, busy laboratory environment where business needs and priorities change quickly. The QC Chemistry team have a strong drive towards continuous improvement, and are dedicated to working together to produce high-quality, cost-effective products for our valued customers and product end users.
Skills and Experience requirements
* Relevant qualification in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Applied Science or related field.
* Demonstrated experience performing chemical testing in a laboratory environment.
* Experience operating laboratory instruments.
* Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and testing methodologies.
* Strong understanding of chemical handling and laboratory safety requirements.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Sound computer skills, including laboratory information management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
