The Support Officer is a customer-facing role responsible for monitoring and maintaining the University's computer systems and networks.
About the Position
As the IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for university end users across a range of software, hardware, network points, and related devices. This position includes managing, configuring, and deploying personal computing devices, peripherals, platform applications, and overseeing operating system installations and upgrades.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
• Demonstrated experience in 1st and 2nd level technical support in an ITIL Service Desk environment.
• Knowledge of Active Directory Users & Computers, Group Policy, File and Print Services.
• Ability to understand, identify, gather and document critical information to enable yourself or the team to effectively resolve incidents or problems.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve a variety of technical or user experience matters, including end-user computing, network, server, software and hardware problems, and corporate applications.
• Knowledgebase and site documentation.
• Ability to work effectively and consultatively in a teamwork environment.
• A high degree of initiative and good communication skills, both oral and written.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 5. The base salary will be in the range of $73,502 – $84,914 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $85,997- $99,349 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
