**Major Projects Leadership Role**
The NSW Treasury is seeking to appoint experienced professionals in the role of Associate Director, Major Projects Division.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will lead a team of professionals in providing commercial and financial advice on major infrastructure, energy transition, precinct development, and capital projects throughout their lifecycle from investment decision, bid evaluation, negotiation, contract execution, delivery, and operation. Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the provision of commercial and financial advice to agencies on funding, financing, procuring, and delivering major infrastructure, energy transition, precinct development, and capital projects
• Developing and implementing project or transactions governance and risk management frameworks
• Conducting financial due diligence, evaluating financial capacity assessments, and leading financial due diligence workstreams
• Collaborating with other parts of Treasury and the NSW Government on policy initiatives, including developing and administering the Financial Capacity Framework and the Financial Assessment Services Scheme
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community groups
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, economics, engineering, or law
• At least 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a government agency or private sector organization
• Strong knowledge of commercial and financial principles, including procurement, contract management, and project finance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Experience in managing teams and leading projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
