This is a great prospect to contribute to a business that is continuously expanding and values quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery—while helping standardise world-class performance across multiple plants.What You'll DoActively promote and uphold safety and environmental standards by participating in EH&S; programs, ensuring engineering designs meet regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of safety through training and engagement.Produce FEL deliverables for medium- and large-scale capital projects across all APAC sitesProvide engineering support including process engineering design, safety risk assessments, and commissioning assistance to ensure that project deliverables are metDeliver all technical tasks in accordance with project management/engineering procedures and controls to enable completion on time and within scopeOccasional contractor management in installation and commissioning worksCollaborate with plant teams to conduct machine process assessments and drive improvement initiatives arising from auditsCollaborate with plant PCI Engineers in quality, efficiency, and RTY improvement projects to provide products that comply with customer, government, and corporate requirementsAssist in product trials and capability studies, design and commission process control systems, and coordinate with Manufacturing, R&D;, and other departments to ensure smooth and successful product implementations to marketWhat you'll bringBachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer or Continuous Improvement Engineer in a manufacturing environment or related fieldA thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures in converting raw materials to finished productsStrong technical knowledge in process engineering design to achieve required project outcomesWorking knowledge of the FEL process for Capital Project executionKnowledge of 6 Sigma or other Lean Continuous Improvement process key tools and frameworks such as DMAIC, Fishbone, and Control ChartsAble to generate and review process engineering design documents such as Mass/Energy Balance, P&IDs;, and equipment sizing calculationsExcellent decision making and problem-solving skills; the ability to make sound judgements based on factual dataAbility to work and manage time autonomously, remain organised, and set priorities to achieve goals within the desired timeframesAbility to effectively drive change in the workplace and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersFamiliarity with Change Management process and requirementsHigh level of safety awareness and able to operate in a safe and effective mannerWorking at James HardieAt James Hardie, our people are at the centre of everything we do.
