Full time permanent role to join a growing team that provides critical services.
We are searching for a skilled Network Engineer to support and maintain a critical network that delivers essential services across the state. In this role, you will provide hands‐on support for complex IP networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. You'll work across both local and wide area networks, with a strong focus on MPLS infrastructure and site‐based equipment.
Key Requirements:
* Security clearance required – only Australian citizens will be considered.
* On‐site role with five days in the office. Office is based in the Western suburbs of Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 2 support and maintenance for critical network systems.
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers (including Nokia and Cisco).
* Monitor and maintain network connectivity, working with link providers to resolve faults.
* Support MPLS network configuration and ongoing optimisation.
* Assist with fault restoration and root cause analysis.
* Contribute to system documentation and ensure installations meet quality standards.
* Assist in developing work estimates and supporting project delivery.
* Proactive identification and escalation of systemic issues.
Skills & Experience
* Experience working with large, complex IP / MPLS networks.
* CCNA trained / Certified.
* ITIL advantage.
* Experience with Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto is desired but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server (including Active Directory).
* Strong experience with routing protocols and technologies such as: IP/MPLSBGP, OSPFQoS, Radius, NTPL2/L3 VPNs.
