The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Workshop Supervisor to manage and mentor the Manufacturing team and to provide high quality manufactured products at competitive costing using well accepted industry standard manufacturing procedures and safety standards.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your main responsibilities will include;
* In conjunction with the Workshop Manager, manage all repairs, commissioning, and installation of equipment.
* Allocate jobs according to job schedule to appropriately qualified employees and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the department.
* Ensure that project timelines are maintained and provide regular updates to Managers on any expected delays or cost overruns.
* Maintain a regular maintenance and cleaning program for all equipment, machines and facilities.
* Provide advice for quotations when required.
* Provide training and mentoring to Leading Hands and trade employees to support growth of business
* Ensure sufficient manpower and resources have been organised to meet work requirements.
* Conduct morning prestart meetings to cover all daily issues including; safety, job requirements, communication etc.
* Conduct regular work area inspections using the HEPICS audit protocol and ensure reports carry out the same.
* Maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues and internal customers.
About You
* Trade Qualification and experience working in manufacturing environment or mining related industry
* Supervisory or leading hand experience would be advantageous
* Excellent communication skills & ability to work under high pressure / changing environments
* Demonstrated ability to read detailed drawings
* Strong commitment to safety, and the H-EPI Safety absolutes.
