Our Network Management team is accountable to operate and maintain the nbn network to WBA uptime assurance and availability SLAs and customer satisfaction targets, including driving business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management and we have a great opportunity for a Technical Specialist to join us.
A bit about your role
The Linux Sys Admin + Security Operations is accountable for the development and technical quality of the solutions delivered by SEO Engineering and Network Engineering & Security (NES) to provide assurance capability for the NBN Network and its’ customers. This role is considered to have the highest level of operational and technical expertise within the NBN Business.
You will provide technical expertise for the health and wellbeing of the key Element Management Systems (EMS) used within the Active Network. You will be responsible for deploying software upgrades, patches and configuration changes which underpins the launch of new capabilities, technologies and product. Additionally you will perform incident management and problem management for production active network.
A bit about you
Ideally you will have experience in system administration and localised storage solutions, EMS platform operation and network/service configuration of EMS solutions experience. You will have hands-on working knowledge with VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes or Ansible as well as operating system practical knowledge i.e. Red Hat Linux, Solaris, Windows and EMS/NMS Industry training or relevant industry certification.
