**About the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations**

**The Role**
VET Quality and Policy Division supports industry engagement in the national vocational education and training (VET) system. Currently this involves working closely with Industry Reference Committees, Skills Service Organisations and Skills Organisation Pilots. The Division is currently transitioning to support the work of Industry Clusters, which are being established to drive collaboration across industry sectors, address strategic workforce challenges and ensure VET qualifications are developed and updated faster to meet the evolving needs of industry and learners. This comes at a time when skills and workforce development are more critical than ever.
To deliver this significant program of work, the Division is seeking a motivated and high performing individual to manage a small team overseeing a range of program management activities.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the Executive Level 1 include:
- managing a team responsible for serving as a single point of contact for contractual matters
- managing record keeping for all contract-related materials
- establishing and maintaining processes to support the effective management and monitoring of contracts, including governance materials for a new service delivery model
- engaging with internal and external stakeholders to communicate contract-related information and ensure compliance with contract and program requirements
- working collaboratively to resolve contract-related issues, both internally and externally
- reviewing and supporting the development and implementation of work plans with suppliers
- supporting the completion of contract activities for new and existing arrangements with suppliers, as appropriate
- supporting the operational transition of industry-specific ownership to new organisations
- assisting in development technical systems to support operations under a new service delivery model.
**Qualifications and Education**
Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
