About the role Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton is looking for Registered Nurses to join their Oncology Unit in a casual capacity.
The hospital has supported the health of people in and around Rockhampton for more than a century and features a 136-bed facility with five operating theatres, a private emergency service and a wide range of specialised clinical services.As a Registered Nurse, you will have a strong patient-service focus, demonstrate a commitment to continued service improvement, facilitate cohesive and positive professional relationships, and use problem-solving skills to improve patient care outcomes relevant to the ward.
About you To be considered for this position, you will have:Current AHPRA registration (no restrictions)Advanced clinical competency and experience within an Oncology areaHigh levels of communication (written and verbal) and clinical problem-solving skillsAbility to function within a multidisciplinary team environmentPrevious experience with administering chemotherapy and CVADs is desirable but not required.
If no experience, willingness to acquire the skillYou will have strong communication and time-management skills and the ability to promote the philosophy and values of Mater to all staff.
