Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fitter Turner/Machinist located in the Greater Sydney Area. The role includes interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, operating machinery, assembling components, and performing precision machining tasks. Additional responsibilities include performing routine maintenance on machines, ensuring quality standards, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Collaboration with team members to complete projects efficiently is also a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and other precision machining tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Knowledge of machining principles and techniques, including measurements and tolerances
Basic skills in troubleshooting and maintaining machinery
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in Fitting, Turning, or Machining
Experience in working in engineering or manufacturing environments is an advantage
