Help deliver exceptional care to our residents at our McNamara Lodge facility in Meadow Springs, Mandurah. As a Carer with RAAFA, you will develop meaningful relationships with our residents to ensure their needs, interests, routines and preferences are respected and met. You will be responsible for providing direct care as specified in the resident's care plan and work closely and collaboratively with our senior clinical staff to ensure that care is delivered to the highest standard! 
This role as a Carer will see you 
- Be responsible for providing direct care, support and assistance to residents 
- Encourage and promote the activities program for residents 
- Assist residents to communicate to ensure that the rights, interests and needs of residents are met 
- Respond to residents' requests for personal care and other assistance 
- Maintain resident records and information, utilising relevant systems and in line with specified policies and procedures 
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe homelike workplace for the resident 
- Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of residents 
About you 
- Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support Ageing or equivalent 
- Previous 6 months+ experience working in Residential Aged Care 
- Availability over various shifts for 3-4 days a week at minimum 
- Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team 
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills 
- Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs 
- Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem solving skills 
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks 
- Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff

The beautifully refurbished 96-bed Residential Care Centre offers both permanent and respite care along with comprehensive activity programs to ensure our residents keep their bodies and minds active day-to-day. Located in the heart of the RAAFA retirement village in Meadow Springs, Mandurah, our homely bedrooms have direct access to landscaped gardens and pathways where you can take a stroll, relax, and enjoy the fresh air.
