About Us:
Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge offers unique accommodation and adventurous outback helicopter and 4WD experiences along the famous Gibb River Road. With its unbeatable proximity to iconic Kimberley landmarks, Mount Hart is the perfect gateway to explore the West Kimberley including the Horizontal Falls (just 40 mins away by helicopter) and Buccaneer Archipelago, Twin Flame Falls, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Charnley River Gorge and much more.
The Role:
As a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the lodge's utilities and infrastructure. You will oversee power, water, fuel management and other essential infrastructure maintenance, as well as fence repairs and signage upkeep to ensure everything runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and monitor the lodge's power, water, and fuel systems to ensure reliability and safety.
* Perform regular repairs and maintenance on facilities and infrastructure, including guest and staff dwellings, fencing and signage around the property.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on water supply and plumbing systems.
* Manage and maintain energy-efficient systems, ensuring all equipment is operational.
* Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all infrastructure maintenance activities.
* Support the Greenkeeper with landscaping efforts as required.
* Repair machinery as required and conduct regular services.
* Clear waste from the property and transport as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Experience with grounds maintenance.
* Experience with general repairs and maintenance of grounds infrastructure.
* Strong mechanical, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
* Strong understanding of operating machinery and troubleshooting issues.
* Knowledge of infrastructure, water and plumbing systems.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
* Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments to successfully complete projects.
* A valid driver's license (manual).
* Available to commit to the full season (late April to late September)
* Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in other departments when required.
Desirable:
* People with additional talents – musicians, health and wellness practitioners, entertainers and trade backgrounds.
* Applicants with personal accommodation (tent or caravan). Rentable twin share accommodation available but limited.
* Own car (4WD recommended). Diesel fuel available at Mount Hart.
