The business is currently seeking a Collections Team Leader to join its dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in managing credit operations across multiple business streams.
You’ll report into an experienced and supportive senior manager who brings a wealth of leadership expertise from both private and listed environments. Known for their calm and empowering leadership style, they have a strong track record of developing talent, leading teams through change, and driving meaningful improvement across systems and people. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside someone who values accountability, transparency, and team growth.
The role is based 4 days on site and 1 day working from home, providing a healthy balance of team interaction and flexibility.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading a team of up to 8 and driving key collections activity across multiple brands and ERPs. Your role is critical in reducing aged debt, supporting customer and operational relationships, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of collection processes.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Leading a collections team of up to 8 in a high-volume environment
* Overseeing adherence to trading terms
* Reducing aged debt and improving DSO across business units
* Managing escalated customer queries and account reconciliations
* Supporting ERP system improvements and credit function transitions
* Contributing to process optimisation and automation initiatives
* Reporting on team performance, aged debt metrics, and SLA delivery
* Coaching and developing your team through ongoing change

The Successful Candidate
You will be a proven people leader with experience in large, complex environments - ideally with a strong background in high-volume collections or shared services.
You enjoy leading through change, developing team capability, and navigating complexity across systems and stakeholders. You are curious, solution-focused, and thrive on driving both performance and process improvement.
Key Skills and Experience:
* 3+ years in a Credit / Collections leadership role
* Experience in trade credit / high-volume AR environments
* Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
* Proven ability to coach and develop team members
* Familiarity with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Commercial acumen and ability to drive results
* Curious mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
