We are seeking a trade qualified Maintenance Technician who is seeking a new challenge to join our Narrogin Hay site on a permanent full-time basis.
This role involves the timely execution of both breakdown and preventative maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime and support the business' production objectives.
Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance work to ensure equipment and machinery are maintained to high standards of reliability, safety and operational readiness.
You will work a regular five-day schedule, with opportunities for extra overtime during the day or on weekends, and may occasionally be required to work night shifts.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Execution of mechanical maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability & availability.
Servicing, repair and maintenance of strapper systems and various types of fixed and mobile plant.
Working in a timely manner to minimise equipment downtime and support production schedules, including both quick fixes and thorough repairs between shifts.
Service and maintain safety systems and equipment.
Proactively identify, assess and control foreseeable hazards related to maintenance operations using take-5 checks, JHA or Standard Operating Procedures.
Keep accurate maintenance records and maintain the spare parts inventory.
Use sound judgement when making decisions regarding maintenance with due regard to employee health and safety.
The ideal candidates will possess:
Extensive experience in a maintenance capacity within the manufacturing or agricultural sectors.
A Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, or a comparable relevant trade qualification (required).
Demonstrated success in the maintenance and repair of fixed plant machinery.
Experience with strapping system maintenance considered an asset.
Strong analytical abilities and advanced problem-solving skills.
Additional certifications such as working at heights, confined spaces, or similar, highly regarded.
A solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices and a strong commitment to employee safety.
