SAP SuccessFactors Functional Solution Architect
We are seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Functional Solution Architect to join a large, multi-year Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation program within a complex, enterprise-scale organisation.
This is a senior role suited to someone who has led complex SAP SuccessFactors implementations at scale and is confident working across business, technology, and delivery teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
About the Program This technology-enabled HCM transformation program is focused on simplifying, streamlining, and modernising people management services across a large organisation. The program is delivered through multiple releases and workstreams, supported by a sizeable multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the systems implementation vendor, contributing to workshops, solution design, and configuration across:
Core HR (Primary)
Onboarding
Recruitment
Provide functional solution architecture expertise across business processes, security roles, reporting, and integrations
Design and support integrations between SAP SuccessFactors, SAP ECC HR, and S/4HANA
Provide architectural guidance on extensions and integrations using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
Support testing, defect resolution, and troubleshooting throughout the implementation lifecycle
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, integration, data migration, testing, and downstream technology teams to ensure solution alignment
Contribute to project planning, governance forums, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Support change and adoption activities through documentation, training, and end-user guidance
Stay up to date with SAP SuccessFactors releases, best practices, and optimisation opportunities
Key Stakeholders
Program delivery teams (business transformation specialists, business analysts, enterprise architects, integration, data and testing teams)
Business subject matter experts and service owners
IT system owners and senior stakeholders
About You You are a strong consultant and problem-solver who enjoys working in complex transformation environments and engaging with senior stakeholders.
Essential experience:
7+ years' experience working on SAP SuccessFactors transformation programs
Experience as a Functional Solution Architect on client-side and/or vendor-led implementations
Delivery of 2-3 large-scale SAP SuccessFactors HCM implementations involving complex integrations and high transaction volumes
Strong functional expertise in Core HR (Primary), Onboarding, and Recruitment
Hands-on experience with SAP ECC HR and implementing or transitioning to SuccessFactors
Experience integrating SuccessFactors with S/4HANA
Good understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and custom development considerationsHighly regarded:
Experience delivering large enterprise or public-sector transformation programs
