Join the Department for Child Protection as the
Procurement Lead
based in Adelaide. This senior role sits within the
Commissioning, Procurement and Contracts
directorate and is central to delivering the
KidSafe Connect Transformation Program
. You will provide strategic leadership and guide high-value procurement activity for this critical transformation program. With a focus on quality, governance, and compliance, coupled with the need to work with a sense of urgency and adaptability, you will be a key leader in delivering critical procurement outcomes. In this role, you will
Lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of complex high-value procurement activity for the KidSafe Connect Transformation Program.
Provide expert strategic advice and authoritative guidance to executives, senior leaders, and stakeholders on procurement, contract management, and supplier engagement.
Develop, implement, and review advanced procurement strategies, policies, and frameworks that align with government priorities, legislation, and best practice standards.
Ensure strong governance, probity, and compliance across all procurement activity, including the preparation and review of complex documentation, business cases, and reports.
Oversee the negotiation and management of major contracts and supplier relationships to ensure value for money, risk management, and delivery of quality outcomes.
About you
You will bring extensive experience leading high-value public sector procurements and a strong understanding of government frameworks, legislation, and probity requirements. Your ability to provide strategic direction and expert advice will support senior leaders to navigate complex procurement challenges with confidence.
As a senior leader, you will be skilled in guiding teams, resolving risks, and promoting innovation that delivers quality outcomes. You will be confident negotiating major contracts, managing stakeholder expectations, and building strong professional relationships that support the KidSafe Connect program.
