Engineer Project DeliveryElevate your career with the support of a committed leadership teamOur friendly teams look after each other because your safety and wellbeing are always our priorityFly in, fly out opportunity from Perth on a 5:2, 4:3, 9:5 rosterAbout the roleWe are seeking an engaging and safety-focused Engineer Project Delivery to join our Greater Brockman Project delivery team. You will be responsible for managing individual projects, overseeing the project progress and liaising with all stakeholders to ensure that the project is being delivered safely to a high standard, timely and cost effectively. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work andmanage projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.You’ll be part of a friendly team, supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work 5 days on, 2 days off, 4 days on, 3 days off, 9 days on, 5 days off which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.Reporting to the Superintendent Project Delivery, you will:Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operationsBe responsible for recording and escalating any design, constructability or interface issues arisingManage and monitor project progress and provide site construction and technical supportReview design materials to ensure they are suitable for the project needs and in line with the project specificationsIndependently manage and resolve technical issues to enable construction to safely complete activities on time and to specified engineering standardsProactively engage with other project team members to resolve safety, technical, performance, scope, cost and schedule issuesReview and prepare permits and license conditions against project requirements and ensure the required requests are submitted to allow suitable time prior to project executionEnsure effective work planning to provide deliverables to Construction which allow continuous construction work fronts availabilityBe responsible for specifying the requirement for any temporary construction facilities, access roads, and managing the package work scopes as requiredWork with the customer’s resident engineering and operating personnel to coordinate construction verification activitiesAttend daily / weekly coordination and progress meetings with the contractor as requiredWhat you’ll bring3–5 years' work experience on large scale mining or infrastructure projectsGood technical knowledge of all phases of construction engineering relating to a single discipline interfacing with all areas, or in a multi-discipline position assigned to a single areaKnowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration on large infrastructure projectsKnowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the HS&E requirements, quality standards, specifications, codes, industry practices, and other compliance requirements involved in the construction of infrastructure projectsKnowledge and experience on the activities and risks involved in construction of large infrastructure works and mining activitiesWhat we offerBe recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you’ve helped the world progressA work environment where safety is always the number one priorityA permanent position working directly for Rio TintoA competitive base salary reflective of your skills and experience with annual incentive bonusComprehensive medical benefits including subsidised private health insurance for employees and immediate familyAttractive share ownership planCompany provided insurance coverExtensive salary sacrifice & salary packaging optionsCareer development & education assistance to further your technical or leadership ambitionsOngoing access tofamily-friendly health and medical wellbeingsupportLeave for all of life’s reasons (vacation/annual, paid parental, sick leave, cultural leave)To better suit different family needs, our paid parental leave approach gives all parents the option to take 18 weeks of paid leave after a new child arrives – at a time that suits themExclusive employee discounts including hotel stays, banking, accommodation, cars, retail and moreWe are committed to elevating Indigenous voices and increasing cultural knowledge in our business.
