Liverpool Hospital Maternity Services is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're looking for a dynamic clinical leader to step into our enhanced CMS2 Afterhours role.
Responsibilities
* Provide expert clinical leadership and support across the Women's & Children's Health departments
* Support pregnant and postnatal women across the facility with confidence and compassion
* Drive education, simulation training, and professional development for staff
* Play a key role within a committed and collaborative leadership team
* This role will work 13:30-22:00 hours during the week and 11:00-19:30 on weekends and public holidays

We're Looking For Someone Who
* Has sound clinical skills and confidence in acute maternity and women's health care
* Is a Train the Trainer (or willing to work towards this qualification)
* Enjoys delivering planned education and is comfortable teaching on the run
* Is approachable, friendly, and supportive—someone staff feel confident turning to
* Works effectively as part of a team and contributes to a positive culture
* Demonstrates strong leadership qualities
* Can think critically, problem‐solve, and escalate appropriately when required
Roster Structure
* Two AHCMS2s rostered Monday–Friday, each supporting a different level of the service
* One AHCMS2 rostered on weekends and public holidays
* This structure ensures strong leadership coverage and the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the service.
Selection Criteria
* Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post‐registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post‐graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
* Detail how your skills and professional background align with the requirements of the role, emphasizing the value you intend to bring to Women's and Children's Health.
* Give an example of your approach to tailoring educational content for adults in a workplace setting, taking into consideration diverse learning styles, and how you plan to adapt your strategies to ensure effective skill transfer and development within the team.
