Your new role
The Truck and Dog Driver will be responsible for transporting materials to and from sites using a truck and dog trailer combination. Key responsibilities include:
* Operating heavy combination vehicles (HC or MC) in a safe and efficient manner.
* Conducting pre-start checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety.
* Loading and unloading materials such as sand, gravel, and aggregates.
* Adhering to all site safety protocols and traffic management plans.
* Completing delivery documentation and communicating effectively with dispatch and site personnel.
* Supporting the team with general yard duties when required.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following:
* A current HC or MC truck licence.
* Proven experience operating truck and dog combinations.
* A valid White Card (Construction Induction).
* Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and fatigue management.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude.
