About the Role
The role of Environmental Health and Safety Manager is to drive a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the Environmental Health and Safety strategy and high-level annual plans across the entire business.
You will provide leadership and vision to manage the Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities in the best interest of shareholders and stakeholders, establishing the organizational Environmental Health and Safety management plan, designing training plans and implementing Environmental Health and Safety initiatives across the organization.
* You will be responsible for driving a culture of safety and sustainability, facilitating and driving the reduction of significant injuries throughout the organization.
* You will provide technical support to relevant business divisions, including advising Operations Managers and coaching and mentoring site-based supervisors and employees.
* You will develop and implement procedures for safety/risk management and emergencies, consulting and communicating with all levels of stakeholders.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional who can provide strategic input to the business.
You will have a proven track record of driving a culture of safety and sustainability within an organization, as well as experience in developing and implementing Environmental Health and Safety strategies and plans.
You will be able to provide leadership and vision to manage Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities, establish procedures for safety/risk management and emergencies, and consult and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
* You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and coach at all levels of the organization.
* You will be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
* You will have a strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety regulations and legislation.
