The role of a Construction Loan Coordinator involves providing exceptional customer service and ensuring high-quality loan files. Key responsibilities include verifying documentation, communicating with customers and vendors, and reviewing loan packages for accuracy and completeness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Obtain and verify required documentation from borrowers, including employment verification, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.
* Conduct thorough credit analysis and review borrower income and assets before submitting the file to underwriting.
* Prepare a complete loan package and verify all required documentation is accurate and complete.
* Deliver a completely documented file to the underwriter and communicate directly with customers in writing and by telephone as needed.
* Review loans for compliance with mortgage-related regulations, including RESPA, TIL, HMDA, and Reg. B.
* Prepare proper disclosures and re-disclosures as required by regulations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 3-5 years' residential mortgage processing experience.
* Experience working with automated Loan Origination Systems and Encompass LOS.
* Knowledge of industry guidelines and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
* Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows.
* Excellent math and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
