Job Description:
At the forefront of energy system transformation, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping and implementing Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) frameworks across the National Electricity Market (NEM). As a Specialist Engineer, you will drive technical development and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive technical development of REZ frameworks, ensuring alignment with government policy objectives and operational responsibilities.
2. Provide expert advice on technical, operational, regulatory, and process matters associated with connections of major plant.
3. Lead improvement initiatives through collaboration with clients and industry stakeholders, focusing on proactive problem-solving and transparent decision-making.
4. Coordinate transformations in Connections Engineering Functions, leveraging learnings from REZ frameworks development and reform opportunities.
What You Will Bring:
1. Qualifications in engineering, stakeholder engagement, or project management, with experience in connections engineering processes or regulatory and policy frameworks considered advantageous.
2. Extensive demonstrated connections engineering and process technical experience on medium to large-scale generation projects.
3. Ability to facilitate working groups and negotiate complex issues among stakeholders with competing objectives and drivers.
4. Detailed understanding of the NER, NEM, and Rule change framework.
