Your new role 
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the organisation. Based in Townsville, you will be responsible for statutory accounts compilation, financial reporting for external funding bodies, reconciliation oversight, taxation compliance, and budgeting support. You'll coordinate audit activities, resolve complex accounting and taxation queries, and provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders. 
What you'll need to succeed 
To be successful in this role, you will bring: 
-A postgraduate qualification (or progress toward) in accounting, commerce, or financial/business management. 
-CPA or CA membership (essential). 
-Proven experience in financial accounting and a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards. 
-High-level analytical and problem-solving skills. 
-Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
